Quantum Engineer

We are looking for a Quantum Software Engineer who will join our team to define the standards of future quantum computers. The role will be in constant evolution as the company grows and is suitable for people with different backgrounds in quantum, from general puzzle solvers to highly trained experts in specific fields.

 

As a Quantum Software Engineer you will develop pioneering algorithms in the realm of quantum computing, joining us in building the world’s most scalable architecture for solving optimization problems. You will encounter many challenges which will give you the chance to grow in your role, and you will increase your knowledge by discussing and working within a world-class team of experts from around the world.

Required Skills & Experience

  • PhD in quantum physics (theoretical physics), experience in quantum computing and/or mathematics
  • Programming skills (languages: Python, C, C++)
  • High degree of creativity and pro-activeness
  • Ability to work self-initiated and independently
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Experience

  • A proven track record quantum physics and in particular quantum information
  • German skills are a plus, but not required

Grant Manager

The quantum computing ecosystem is still in its infancy and most projects are financed by governmental grants and executed by consortia from academia and industry. At ParityQC we are involved in multiple national and international consortia. Managing our grants, including financial reports, is a position with great responsibility and requires self-management. We are searching for a strategic-thinking person who will help us by enhancing our existing funding models, identifying new sources of funding, and developing sustainable and effective grant reporting.

As grant manager you will be responsible for managing overall grant efforts, documenting payments and expenditure, optimizing the grant administration process, overseeing fund-raising, preparing progress reports, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, reviewing grant proposals, managing grant databases, engaging with donor agencies, educating staff on policies, and preparing financial reports. Your skills and expertise in successful grant management will aid our organization in securing continuous funding, improving business opportunities through effective funding programs, and executing meaningful projects.

The ideal candidate for this role should have superior organizational skills and exceptional budgeting and monitoring skills. The outstanding Grants Manager should re-enforce relationships with donors, ensure that grant programs operate efficiently, streamline grant administration, and keep our organization fiscally sound.

Management Assistant

The Management Assistant will join our growing team at ParityQC to take care of several administrative and accounting matters, as well as special projects.

As assistant to the management you will support the management in organisational and administrative matters. A large part of your daily tasks will be activities such as scheduling and process coordination, support in the accounting process as well as internal and external billing, internal documentation such as time records etc. and office management. Basically, your position will be an important coordinating-position between internal and external affairs. Duties may vary and change, as usual with a young company.

 

Required skills/education

  • Business studies
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility
  • Language skills: English and German business fluent in written and spoken language
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of accounting (bookkeeping, preparation and control of accounts)
  • Programs:
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
    • Hubspot (CRM system)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business studies
